but otherwse, a fine stop for dinner in Newark. NOT a place to bring a hot date, a business client or your prissy Aunt Edwina. Great food, a terrific price and a warm welcome. Familiar with all those bogus "just ordinary folks enjoying a good time together" commercials by Olive Garden? Well, this place actually delivers that atmosphere - for real. But think of it as your favorite Uncle Guillermo - the feeling we got on a recent visit was like being welcomed to a favorite uncle's home. The lighting is bright, there's plenty of noise and the decor is pretty much Uncle Guillermo's basement. Again, this is NOT upper-crust in any way whatsoever - it is informal even by diner standards. Most of all, the atmosphere was truly friendly. The sirloin was perfectly seasoned and tender, the bacon-wrapped chicken was splendid. Superb Brazilian quasi-buffet - some vegetables and fish dishes on a traditional buffet table, but the best & freshest offerings are at the carving station. Still, this is a terrific find in Newark. The tables are bare, the beer and wine are "bring your own" (but no corkage fee!), and everyone dresses very casually.

The Magical British Empire sequence beginning Heart of Light ( 2008), is Steampunk heavily textured with fantasy elements,: the protagonists encounter hidden jewels, adventures in Darkest Africa, amiable orientalism, and pirates.
