The bustle of New Orleans and the fae hunters known as the Order was a mysterious world to dive into. It’s lovely and merciless and worth every heart wrenching second.

I love that the magic world seems so straight forward, fae hunters, greater fae, big challenge, and just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, Armentrout throws a grenade into your reading. While he and Ivy struggle to trust each other with all the burdens they carry, Ren was a great counter to Ivy. He was a no nonsense, knows what he wants and goes for it. Ren was the dark and dangerous kind of love interest. Ivy is a fae hunter but wants to be more, but will she allow herself something more with her past guilt weighing her down? I adored being in Ivy’s head, I think that is one of Armentrout’s trademarks, she gets you into the heroine’s head processing all the mess right along with her.
